Arlingham

The Carter Family:

This family lived for some time at Puckpool Farm.  We have transcribed wills relating to them and have images of some of their memorials.  Most fascinating is the inventory of William Carter who died in February 1706/1707

The Bodnum Family:

Several wills have assisted in establishing the movements of this family.

The Roberts Family:

As well as the fascination of tracing such early inhabitants of Arlingham, there would seem to be a link to an early settlement in America.

Also born in Arlingham:

In the churchyard there are tombs of several members of the Carter family.
